Rebecca Zima has been practicing law for over 30 years and has been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator. Ms. Zima graduated from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, in 1990 with her bachelor’s degree. She then earned her law degree in 1993 from the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana.

Ms. Zima served as a Deputy Prosecutor in Indianapolis, Indiana and then as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit for over fifteen years prior to starting her own private legal practice focusing on family law in 2007. Ms. Zima was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Mediator in April, 2024.

She has extensive knowledge of how the system works, the rules of evidence and many years of actual courtroom experience in front of the various family law judges of the Fourth, Seventh and Eighth Judicial Circuits. Ms. Zima is an established trial lawyer. She has personally tried over 60 felony jury trials, as well as many family law bench trials in matters of dissolution, modification, child support and relocation issues.
